FAQ

? - Do entries have to be in color?
A - No. Entries can be inks only, or even pencil only as long as the art is good.

? - How good does the work have to be?
A - You aren't expected to be polished professionals, but you are expected to entertain. Main comic art and writing must be decent. Not expert level, just good. Arms must look like arms. Dialogue should be higher than Hansel and Gretel level. High level artists hiring amateurs for pinup work is acceptable though. This project is about experience and cooperation.

? - Does the text in my story need to be digital or is hand drawn lettering okay?
A - I will allow hand written captions and dialogue if it is legible, but digital lettering is easier to learn and fix afterwards, so I strongly recommend that.

? - Does "doujinshi" mean my entries have to be anime style?
A - No. American comic style. Europeon "high art" rendering style, cartoon style, it's all good. Just tell your story.

? - What is the minimum submission?
A - I must have four pages total from you before I post your work.

? - When can I sell (items) in the Healthy Insanity store?
A - When you've signed a contract with us and submitted ten pages of work total.

? - I don't know how to write a contract with my artist, can you provide me with one?
A - No. Healthy Insanity will not be liable for contracts between copyright holders and their help.

? - Can we submit our work as a studio / team.
A - Sure. Commission rules still apply.

? - Can art trades / requests count as commissions?
A - No.

? - "I'm a **** hot artist!" Why do I need to pay someone else to commission work?
A - Because everyone follows the same rules. Use your skilled eye and go through the DA job services forums and find a few amateurs who work inexpensively who deserve a chance to shine. Hire them. That way you can participate without breaking your wallet.

? - Is there a dollar value that commissions have to be to count?
A - No. As long as it's legitimate. If your best friend charges you a penny for ten comic pages, you two are cheating. But an amateur artist working a full color pinup for $5? That's acceptable.
