The Forms on Healthy Insanity are now ready to host avatars. You can upload your own from your computer, link to your own if you have a website, or use the avatars we supply in our gallery. For our Forums Avatar Gallery I can pull from a large collection of anime images and find plenty of images, but I believe Healthy Insanity needs original images to use for our avatars. So it's time for the Healthy Insanity Forums Avatar Contest.

    This is a contest open to all artists, as well as writers who commission art for this contest*. Anyone of legal age to enter such contests if they are legal in their country may enter this contest.

CONTENT OF SUBMISSION RULES

Required:

1. A half body to full body shot of an original character with the inclusion of a "classic tattoo design" into the image. What that means is open to interpretation.
2. Characters must be original and not fan pieces of existing works such as real movies, comics or anime. Character can be any race, religion, gender, personality, etc.Generic races such as orcs or types of characters such as super heroines or samurai champions, vampire etc. are acceptable. Avatars made from any title hosted on Healthy Insanity are acceptable as long as you have permission from the writer to do so. A master list of writers who are allowing their characters to be turned into avatars is here.
3. When cropped, we should be able to make a decent looking 120 X 120 pixel avatar of your submission.
4. Cooperative projects, oekaki and pixel art submissions are acceptable!

    We recommend fully colored images, but black and white images are acceptable if they are "finished" looking. Below are top rate examples. Writers are encouraged to submit a one page story with their submission of commissioned art.

*1 - Full permission from the artist is required. Healthy Insanity will award the writer, and shall not be a party to outside arrangements between the writer and artist(s).
